City girl, shows up in small town Saint Jo TX and runs into childhood friend and they fall in love.

As most of you know, Bailey & Jeffrey's parents have been friends long before they were born. They both grew up in Miami, FL until the Crippen's moved to Michigan when Jeffrey was 9. The Battle's visited the Crippen's in Michigan when both Bailey and Jeffrey were about 13, which was the last time they saw each other until they reconnected after Bailey moved to Austin Texas in 2020.

After some suggestions from both mothers, Bailey reached out to Jeffrey to chat about some of her recent health concerns and shortly after that they started talking regularly and making the 4 hour drive back and forth every other weekend to visit each other. The first weekend that Bailey & Jeffrey reconnected, was also the weekend Jeffrey found the piece of land that they are now building their forever home on. A little over a year later, Jeffrey took Bailey out to their land and asked her to marry him and the next day flew them both to Miami to surprise their parents, who were out to dinner together at Joe's (along with many of their other friends).

Special story about the ring - Jeffrey was given a family ring 3 years prior that he had put away for the future. When he decided he wanted to propose, he took the ring out and realized Bailey's name was on the inside of the box (Bailey, Banks & Biddle) and that it was already exactly her size.
